A producer in Hunan province stated that today they quoted Electrolytic Manganese Flakes with a purity of 99.7% at 12,100 yuan/MT for cash pickup and refused any offer below 12,000 yuan/MT. Last weekend, their quote was 12,200 yuan/MT, and they refused any counteroffer. No transactions were made today. At the beginning of this week, they sold 100 MT at a price of 12,100 yuan/MT, and last weekend they sold 60 MT at a price of 12,200 yuan/MT. The producer added that the demand of many consumers has not recovered after the holiday, and producers are reducing prices to destock due to inventory pressure.

Considering the weak demand and the bearish attitude of market participants, they expect that the mainstream transaction price of Electrolytic Manganese Flakes in China will further decline in the coming week. The annual production capacity of this producer is 30,000 MT, and the expected production this month is about 1,800 MT. They have about 300 MT of inventory at present.

Another producer in Hunan province stated that today they quoted Electrolytic Manganese Flakes with a purity of 99.7% at 12,200 yuan, cash pickup, and can accept a discount of 100 yuan/MT. Last weekend, their quote was 12,300 yuan/MT, and they refused any offer below 12,200 yuan/MT. They did not make any transactions this week, and last weekend they sold 30 MT at a price of 12,300 yuan/MT. Considering the weak demand, many producers plan to continue lowering prices to recover funds, and they predict that the transaction price of Electrolytic Manganese Flakes in China will further decrease in the coming week.
