Silicon Carbide Export Prices from China Remain Stable

Despite weak overseas demand, the mainstream export price of China's Black Silicon Carbide 88%min 0-10mm remains at USD 730-750/MT FOB China, unchanged from earlier this week, given the firm domestic prices. As a result, industry insiders predict that export prices for Black Silicon Carbide will remain stable over the coming week.

A trader from Hebei revealed: "For Black Silicon Carbide 88%min 0-10mm, we are offering a price of USD 740/MT FOB China, with a maximum discount of USD 10/MT, which is similar to the price earlier this week." They added that just three days ago, they sold about 80 MTs at a price of USD 735/MT FOB China. They have received several inquiries, including one from a buyer who offered USD 730/MT for a 60-MT order, but they rejected it, considering the firm domestic prices. Therefore, they will keep their prices unchanged and believe that export prices for Black Silicon Carbide will remain stable over the next week.

Based on their regular monthly transaction volume of 200 MTs, they expect to sell 200 MTs this month, compared to 140 MTs last month. They currently have no stock available. Another trader from Gansu disclosed: "We are currently offering Black Silicon Carbide 88%min 0-10mm at USD 740/MT FOB China, with a minimum acceptable price of USD 730/MT, consistent with earlier this week." Today, they received an inquiry for an 80-MT order, quoting USD 740/MT, and based on their experience, they expect to close the deal at USD 735/MT. Their last transaction was on Monday of this week when they sold about 80 MTs at USD 735/MT. Considering the firm domestic production costs and the steady flow of orders, they will maintain their prices and anticipate that export prices for Black Silicon Carbide will remain stable over the next week. Their typical monthly transaction volume is around 200 MTs, but last month they sold only 100 MTs. Based on their current sales, they expect to sell around 200 MTs this month, with no stock available at present.
