Manganese alloy imports increased by 81% month on month in January 2024

Taiwan's manganese alloy imports increased by 81% month on month in January 2024, reaching 16321 tons, compared to 9030 tons in December 2023.

The import volume of silicon and manganese increased from 3633 tons in December 2023 to 7748 tons in January 2024.

At the same time, in January 2024, the import volume of manganese iron surged by 59%, reaching 8573 tons, compared to 5397 tons in December 2023.

In January 2024, the import of ferrosilicon increased by 64% month on month

In January 2024, the import volume of ferrosilicon increased by 64% month on month, reaching 5578 tons, compared to 3411 tons in December 2023.

China (2647 tons) and Malaysia (1419 tons) were the main exporting countries in January 2024.

However, the import volume in January 2024 decreased by 21% year-on-year to 5578 tons, compared to 7101 tons in January 2023.
