The prices of manganese and silicon alloys have fallen in the European market

After some large-scale transactions were completed, the prices of manganese alloys and ferrosilicon in Europe dropped significantly, and competition among sellers became more intense.

The price range for European silicon manganese (65% Mn; 16-17% Si) is 1100-1170 euros/ton DDP, compared to 1200-1250 euros/ton DDP a week ago. The quotation for high carbon manganese iron (75% Mn) is 1130-1180 euros/ton DDP (previously 1200-1250 euros/ton DDP). Despite the high production cost and shipping cost of manganese alloys, consumers still insist on requesting significant discounts in the face of fierce competition from sellers.

The price of silicon iron (75% Si) has also continued to decline, with a quotation range of 1390-1440 euros/ton DDP (previously 1430-1450 euros/ton DDP). A batch of alloys is sold to Italy at the lower limit of the quotation range, while 1-2 trucks are priced at 1430-1440 euros/ton DDP. Like in the field of manganese alloys, current supply exceeds current demand, but in this case, it is more likely due to seasonal factors.
