The Chinese electrolytic manganese export market is running slowly.

As WEST ASIA discover with major steel mills announcing their procurement prices, most exporters are refusing to sell at lower prices. Currently, the mainstream export price for electrolytic manganese Mn 99.7%min, Se 0.08% max remains at 1,650-1,700 USD/MT offshore China, unchanged from earlier this week. Despite the strong supplier prices, industry experts predict a slight decrease in the mainstream export price of electrolytic manganese in the coming week due to weak demand.

One trader in China mentioned that their offer for electrolytic manganese 99.7%min is 1,695 USD/MT offshore China, and they are not willing to accept any negotiations. This offer has been maintained for over a week. The trader sold 100 MT at a price of 1,695 USD/MT to an old customer yesterday and revealed that most of their customers have stopped buying in the past few weeks. This trader holds a bearish view of the market and believes that the mainstream export price of electrolytic manganese will experience a slight decrease in the coming week due to high production and weak demand. This trader typically exports around 300 tons of electrolytic manganese 99.7%min per month, and they expect to sell approximately 200 tons this month, consistent with the previous month. The trader currently holds about 100 tons in inventory.

Another trader in China stated that their offer for electrolytic manganese Mn 9.7%min is hovering at 1,710 USD/ton offshore China today, and they are willing to accept a counteroffer of up to 10 USD/ton for old customers, the same as earlier this week. The trader sold 60 tons at a price of 1,700 USD/ton in mid-October and mentioned that they have received some inquiries these days but have been unable to reach any deals as customers intend to buy at lower prices. Given the sluggish market, this trader predicts that the mainstream price of electrolytic manganese will remain unchanged in the next few days. The trader's regular monthly trading volume is about 200 tons, and they expect to sell nearly 100 tons in November, consistent with the previous month. They currently have no inventory.
