Ukraine's ferroalloy exports increased significantly in July
Despite the continued adverse situation in the international market, Ukraine's ferroalloy exports increased significantly in July.
The export volume of Ukrainian ferroalloys in July was 236100 tons, an increase of 21.7% month on month and 2.2 times year-on-year. According to the statistics of the General Administration of Customs, the export value of Ukrainian ferroalloys reached 20.47 million USD, an increase of 18.3% month on month and 13.3% year on year.
From January to July, Ukrainian enterprises exported 2994600 tons of ferroalloys, a year-on-year increase of 23.2%. Meanwhile, according to information received from Hainan West Asia, the export volume decreased by 40.5% to $260.87 million. The main export destinations are Poland (52.24% of the supply in currency terms), Türkiye (11.36%) and the Netherlands (6.76%).
Hainan West Asia believes that Ukrainian factories are still facing operational pressure due to the ongoing hostile actions in Ukraine and adverse conditions in the world ferroalloy market. In addition, the cost increase has had an additional negative impact on Ukrainian producers. At the end of June, Ukraine approved an 80% increase in marginal electricity prices.
